3 lightsaber hits - each sitting on mounting grey brackets attached to a white wall.
closer photo of a grey bracket attached to a white wall.
I finally hung my lightsaber hilts in my home office that I had bought a couple of years ago at Disney. I designed and #3dprinted some low-profile brackets with PETG and I'm quite happy with how they came out.
I wish there was an extensibility model to plug in articles/links from LinkedIn feed or news outlets Iβm already paying for - that would save me time.
100% agree. The market only continues to get more competitive for Windows to keep those users, and I feel like what they try to push onto my personal computer continues to get worse.
I agree, but there has been interest in monetizing the consumer sockets, particularly 10+. As consumers stay with hardware longer but still expect upgrades and the Store didnβt quite pan out - but a bridge to Bing does bring in real revenue per user.
Three packages of peeps - chocolate pudding, Dr Pepper, and churro flavors
Our family did a Peeps tasting this evening. Overall, the kids did not like the Peep.
The results by flavor:
β
Chocolate pudding flavor
β Churro flavor
β Dr Pepper flavor
I believe the problem is that few people want to pay for an OS, and so the Windows group is trying to find a way to pay for the engineers - and Bing is a convenient monetization vehicle for them to try and attach toβ¦as vacuously click-bait driven as it is.
UNIANIMOUSLY!!!
The grievance was even enshrined as the 4th Amendment of the Constitution
I was coming here to say this - I read the article, clicked the 404 and saw it was back up (redirected).
The question is whether they are slow at setting up the redirects or whether they are purposely leaving the 404s just long enough to generate rage articles to make them look over-reactionary.
100%
Andy Jassy is the President and CEO of Amazon - Bezos stepped away in 2021 to chase rockets andβ¦other stuff. Heβs still βexecutive chairβ, whatever that means, but he doesnβt run Amazon and its businesses.
Note my family is still avoiding all of the Amazon businesses, though.
β¦and that behavior is partly why Hillary and Kamala lost. A large number of folks struggle to support someone who doesnβt check all of their personal goals / approaches - leaving the party tent fractured and conflicted.
Thought - is it reasonable to hold telecom providers or SMS providers financially responsible for scams that use their networks? These βoutstanding tolls dueβ notices are getting REALLY tiring - but I am most frustrated knowing that nobody cares to stop it.
But I agree that dwelling can be unhealthy - much like constantly picking at an unhealed scab, constantly opening it back up to the world and risking additional infections.
I believe that it is more to understand than it is to dwell - to learn from the past so that you are less likely to repeat itβ¦to better understand where potential blind spots may exist so that you can mind them betterβ¦and to be able to release them so that they burden you no longer.
I find "listen to the women" excellent advice in this specific case and... in life in general. βοΈ

His YOLO relationship with the truth is the root of his semi-regular SEC issues and issues with the various governmental protection agencies that his team is cutting.
But he does this in his private companies - he fires essential workers and also makes false statements (roadmaps, pump and dump schemes, etc.). I think the difference here is that he is being fact-checked/challenged, which doesn't happen in his privates because he stuffs his board fully of lackies.
I really want to use the "new" Outlook for Windows client - but it doesn't support working across multiple email accounts (e.g., calendar, moving/filing emails, responding to a mail from a different email account.
It feels like Zune client -> Xbox Music all over again.
Itβs borderline criminal.
Social media post by Tristan Snell (@TristanSnell ) with a verified badge, reading: 'Jon Stewart invited Elon Musk onto the Daily Show. Musk said heβd only do it if the show would appear unedited. Stewart and the Daily Show agreed β calling Muskβs bluff. Musk has now chickened out and refuses to go on the show.'
Remember: Musk is a coward at heart. A weak man, not a strong one. A fragile ego just like the guy he shares an office with.
Woo hoo!!
Y'all have to check this one out. #PowerToys 0.89 brings the media transcoding in Advanced Paste that I've used about 15 times already π
.
It's bad enough to have a massive conflict of interest, and likely coercion by Musk, to have the FAA shift #mission #critical communications from a ground carrier to StarLink. Far worse is moving mission critical comms to a brittle system that just one EMP will take it all out. This is madness.

Iβm amazed at how far FDM printers have come and I adore my Bambu. These beautiful minis came out fantastic. I canβt wait for the session.
Seven D&D minis on a blue background. The minis were 3D printed with marble PLA filament, and havenβt been cleaned up yet. They are are of the characters from the Wild Beyond the Witchlight D&D adventure module - in particular, the main characters of the Witchlight carnival.
I finally got some minis to successfully print on my #bambu P1S - getting ready for the familyβs Wild Beyond the Witchlight session. Models by @mz4250.bsky.social //cc @ashley.dev

My @infoworld.bsky.social explainer into the science of Microsoft's Majorana 1 quantum processor went live overnight. A lot of thoughts condensed into 1500 words on what it is, how it works, and why it's a really important step on the road to quantum computing.
