Hopped over the 50K mark this last weekend with Spiders. Still learning a lot with this project, but excited to keep the momentum going.

Using @liv.tv’s LCK, it enabled rapid content creation for myself and players, opening the floodgates for content and further spreading the word. As a result, Spiders has amassed over 30,000 players since launch about two weeks ago.

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted here so I figured I’d do a quick catch-up : over the last month I’ve developed and launched a multiplayer VR game called Spiders, utilizing the “gorilla locomotion” as its base movement system

Check out how @rjdoesvr.bsky.social implemented LIV Creator Kit in Spiders! He added a custom fly model to represent the third person camera, similar to Gorilla Tag's coconut camera but themed for their game. Spiders also went from concept to launch in less than one month, crazy!

Go ergonomic for EVERYTHING you can. Find a way to get some light exercise and move your body during the day (VR workouts ❤️). If the isolation starts to eat away at you, join some discord servers and chill in VC and listen to music together.

Don’t eat lunch at your desk. Take a shower every day if you can. Get groceries in the middle of the day when the markets are empty. Any excuse to go outside a bit during the week. If you take a nap keep it under 60 minutes. Reply to those emails as soon as they come in don’t let them stack.
