If I had the time I would revisit the same work over and over trying different approaches. Did a couple portraits/pfps recently that had fun making and enjoyed the final result but keep wanting to go back and have another whack at to see how I can improve the process, posing, colors, etc.

I get that especially with some commissions that are just supposed to be sketches but I find myself (as you said) chasing interest for improvement and end up using the piece as a bit of a testing ground (with the client's blessing ofc).

The short kings slinging spells, hell yeah

An anthropomorphic jackal painted in profile. He wears a rough green poncho detailed with a light teal vertical trim going down one side and large teeth decorating the edges. Oh his head is a tattered cowboy hat. His face is the usual warm tan and cream colors of a jackal with a faded dark forest green stripe along the cheekbones. Noticeably this jackal has a large scar on the side of his muzzle, leaving the teeth on the side open to the air; giving them a permanent snarl. Additionally he has a third eye on the center of his forehead that matches the green of the other two.

An anthropomorphic jackal faces the viewer with two expressions peeking out from the shadow of their tattered cowboy hat; seeming to express serious calm intent and a vicious snarl at the same time. The left side of the snout bears a large scar that leaves the teeth exposed, in addition two another pair of scars on the same side of the neck, looking almost like gills. Two of the three bright green eyes peer out from the shadows of the hat.

An anthropomorphic beetle, based on various aspects of the rhinoceros beetle, depicted in both an up-close bust and a full-body sketch. The beetle is bipedal with four arms and a hunched posture. It's shell is maroon with cream highlights and speckles. The face peeking out from under the shell looks tired, maybe anxious. Two big round green eyes with a long pointed horn of a snout with two small antenna- at the base where they cheeks meet the mandibles. Short scruffy orange fuzz frames the face like a messy hairdo. It also puffs out in the sections underneath the body between the armored sections.

Been drawin some bugs. Got a whole sheet of ideas I'm workin on for someone's bugsona - but this lil creechur has a special place in [heart shaped object].

Always enjoyed watching your uploads on YT. Seeing the progression. Blows my mind when it reaches a point where I'm like "wow that's a nicely finished pie-" AND THEN YOU KEEP GOING. Blows my mind.
