Classic nor'easter on the way for later Sunday evening into Monday. Heavily impacted Monday and into early Tuesday. Power outages part of this as well as coastal flooding. Spring will arrive and always does.

Here's a map for my general thinking about the Sunday storm. A high impact nor'easter is looking less likely. Remember, we can still see shifts east (even less impact) or west (more impact closer to Boston). But as of now this is my best thinking.

If you notice the flakes are very small right now. This is less effective accumulation then we will see eventually when the more dynamic part of the storm moves in. This early snow is caused by the Marine air pushing into the Arctic air. Check out Gloucester and look just west.

Snow quite heavy for second half of the afternoon tomorrow through the first half of the night. Most of the storm is over by sunrise Monday. There may be some additional snow during the day over Eastern areas. Wind is not really an issue. Will get much less cold for clean up Monday. 1-2"/hr Sun pm
