In new research, I look forward to exploring further how gendered knowledge production and histories impact on contemporary military cultures.
As I continue with this research agenda, their testimonies strengthen my resolve to challenge traditional understandings of military history and ask questions about who are deemed valid narrators of war.
Thanks also go to the inspiring women who have shared their stories with me in the course of this research and helped me to think anew about women in military history.
Thanks to Maya Eichler, Tammy George and @nancymltaber.bsky.social for their support and encouragement with publishing, following the invitation to speak at their annual symposium last Autumn. I had a wonderful time and have so enjoyed learning from and working with this amazing group.
