This is unfortunate, leading to intense financial stress (the most consuming stress IMO). Sure, my generation (Gen X) is also struggling compared to our parents' generation. However, new graduates (class of 2026 and beyond) are in for a very challenging life post higher ed.
Welcome new and returning students! We are looking forward to another fantastic year of learning and growing.
