Libraries, easy. They buy the books and if they're checked out a lot, they sometimes buy extra/replacement copies. Plus they are a public good that should be supported.

That said I do agree that the accountability model is broken and needs to be updated for computer autonomy.
But the same is true for wealthy humans.
A secondary benefit is that when a robot DOES make an error, that code can be updated and ALL robots improve. This is not the case for humans. In fact, even after a single human makes a driving mistake there is not guarantee that one person will learn to avoid the same mistake again.
I get the 100% predictability is not obtainable. But what percentage IS possible and what is needed for robots to improve safety by 20%?
Data shows that humans are terrible drivers (just look at the number of deaths due to motor vehicles annually), early indications are that robots are safer.
Honest question, does this change if all the cars are autonomous? If driving WAS about rule following, wouldn’t robots be better?

So when thousands of women (and children) were being duplicated--including in non-consensual AI porn--it was no big deal. But it took "only a 15-sec clip" of these two famous white men to draw outrage and fear. Gotcha. Cool cool.
