I feel like that's a perfect, flawless book.

The description of a poem’s structure, then, becomes the answer to the question “What keeps it going?” [...] This allows the possibility of the corollary question, “What stops it from going?”

Currently teaching these gems in AP Lit / high school seniors. I love bringing the kids into contemporary poetry. Invariably they are energized by these collections and go totally bananas.

so proud of Patty Paine and everyone involved: Diode Editions is now in its 18th year! That's incredible. So many poems and so many books. I remember logging on for the first issue and wondering about electronic journals. Now of course diode is a venerable institution. V. good stuff
