I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America. This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States! I have asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to execute this plan, immediately. It will be taken by storage ships, and brought directly to unloading docks in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

If Trump is really stealing spending power from Congress then it would be insanity for Democrats to vote to fund the government later this month. Shut it down until the president stops wiping his ass with the Constitution.

This is fucking insane. Trump took over another country for oil when he can’t even run the US.

We live in a deeply unserious and fragile country at this point. There will be next to no ramifications for the President as he consolidates power and tries to stay in power illegally like he tried to already without repercussions. Meanwhile he plunges millions at home and abroad into chaos

Just really fucking angry at how unnecessary this all is and the pathetic cowards who let it happen.

Do your constitutionally mandated job and put him in jail before he does it to you first.

it's darkly humorous to listen to Trump and his cronies reference the fact that Maduro was indicted in SDNY as evidence he's a dictator and overall bad guy

There are chilling words and a telling comparison as we head towards elections in 2026 and 2028.

😬The Supreme Court will consider whether the intentional creation of a majority-minority congressional district violates the 14th or 15th Amendments.

If the answer is yes, SCOTUS will effectively declare that what remains of the Voting Rights Act is unconstitutional. This is very, very ominous.

US supreme court limits judges’ power on nationwide injunctions in apparent win for Trump Court ruling leaves fate of the US president’s order to overturn birthright citizenship rights unclear

This is ridiculous and completely inconsistent. How can someone be recognized as a citizen in one state, but not in another? This decision is an attack on the rule of law and prevents our federal courts from performing their constitutionally required duty. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacyβ€”it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

The contrast and absurdity is so brazen. They're literally raiding Home Depots to find whatever guys are there to get work as day laborers. People eager for work. And the ICE agents has zero idea who they are or any criminal background.

Active military is being deployed against Americans. Fascism and Civil War is on your doorsteps, and this isn’t even hyperbole anymore. Rule of law is collapsing. Trump and Republicans must be removed from power

Right now, Dems are hiding in their offices, scrolling their phones fearfully, wondering "how are voters going to feel about the National Guard being deployed?"

The right, meanwhile, is vigorously *attempting to shape* how voters feel about it, filling every medium with coordinated propaganda.

Three things about this comment:

1. Homan is a White House adviser who doesn't have the power to arrest anyone. Neither does Trump.

2. Trump once again acts like he's not in charge. "If I were Tom, I'd do it." Uh, doesn't he work for you?

3. THREATENING TO ARREST A GOVERNOR IS A FIVE ALARM FIRE

With the $45 million being spent on the president's parade here’s what that money could do for veterans instead:

House 3k veterans for an entire year in transitional housing

Provide full PTSD treatment for 3.75k veterans for a year

Deliver job training to 9k veterans through 12-week programs

Here’s the β€œPresidential Memorandum”:

www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

There’s no Insurrection Act invocation; Trump is federalizing 2000 CA Nat’l Guard personnel only to β€œprotect federal functions.”

*Without* invoking the Insurrection Act, anything more would violate the Posse Comitatus Act.

If this keeps up, one of these ICE agents or National Guard members is inevitably going to kill an unarmed person on camera.

All it takes is a spark. I know that's what Trump, Miller, Hegseth and MAGA want, but curious if the big money behind the GOP has thought this through...

Statement reading: While the government will remain open, we are frustrated that this funding bill gives a blank check to Donald Trump and Elon Musk to continue attacking the federal workforce and dismantling the services Virginians rely on. This bill lacks the meaningful proposals we offered as amendments to rein in and defund DOGE and protect our veterans from being indiscriminately fired – because Republicans blocked them all. As Donald Trump and Elon Musk continue to seek giant tax cuts for billionaires while laying off workers, slashing services, and tanking our economy, we will keep standing up for everyday Virginians, who have had enough of this chaos and lawlessness. That means we are already gearing up for our next fight: forcing a Senate vote on our legislation to challenge Trump’s senseless trade war with Canada, which will only raise costs for Virginians.
