Taken on its own merits it’s a good game with a few questionable design choices. It’s a disappointment for fans hoping for a more traditional Metroid game. Hopefully it can lay the foundation for more games to come.

In late 2006 I had saved up about $350 to buy a Wii at launch. But then my mom forced me to give the cash to her so she could put it towards her DUI fine. Couldn’t find a Wii on launch day anyway so I guess it didn’t matter!
