how did this sound come out of me
I think PJ just pulled a Ferris Bueller on me and sent up a tape recorder and a helmet on a broom in his jet.
Hell yeah, Knower forever. I love their live band sesh videos.

Row 3: Sentimental
SMB/Duck Hunt - one of the first games I remember. Played it with my whole family
Starfox 64 - best N64 game, bonded over this with my best friend as a child
We โค๏ธ Katamari - got me through Hurricane Katrina. When I finally got back home, I listened to Beautiful Star.
Row 2: Fucking Cool
AC0 - Ace Combat is fucking cool, and Zero is the best of them. The final mission lives rent free in my head
NMH - Suda51 games are fucking cool, NMH 1 sets up the best sequel ever
Time Crisis - Lightgun games are fucking cool, and this is the most action-movie game out there
Row 1: Music Games
DDR - One of my first rhythm games, and started my love of the physical peripheral for rhythm games
Gitaroo Man - Loved the style and music, helped form my "let people like things" philosophy
Rock Band - So many late nights hanging with friends and having fun
Row 1: Dance Dance Revolution, Gitaroo Man, Rock Band Row 2: Ace Combat Zero, No More Heroes, Time Crisis Row 3: Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt, Starfox 64, We โค๏ธ Katamari
Doing the my9games.com/ thing was tough, because so many games have influenced my tastes and my own work, and are part of key memories. These are the first that came to mind, with categories split into rows.
The actual game is pretty fun, I ended up putting it on my wishlist.
Frame Rate Limit 1
Frame Rate Limit 0
I played the Armatus demo, and I like the ability to voluntarily play the game at one frame per second.
I almost like it as much as the ability to set the game to no frames per second and hardlock it forever.
In WarioWare: Twisted, Jimmy's boss microgame can be won instantly if the console is tilted 720ยฐ in less than half a second. In practice, this is achieved by literally physically throwing the console.

I AM THE MIRACLE GIRL
Oh hell yeah, man
btw, thus far in this whole series playthrough thing I'm doing, X is the only game I've never played before.
This game rules. Gleipnir was such a fun superweapon, and I love the branching paths based on tactical decision making.
I've been playing through most of the Ace Combat series, and I really appreciate the voice acting in Ace Combat X and its "get the most passionate people in the office to go to the sound booth" type of energy.
This bit in the From Russia With Love game made me laugh out loud. You've got a fairly grounded, low key fight based on the one in the movie, then the most video game looking fucker of all time slides into frame.
With an English fan translation released for The Tairyou Jigoku (The Overwhelming Hell), check out @eurothug4000.bsky.social 's video on it for why it's worth seeking out!
As far as Virtual Lab goes, I've played that too. Sure it has its issues; I find the controls a little loosey-goosey to my liking. But it's still a fundamentally fine, light puzzle game imo. It's not Tetris, but what is?
From what VB games I've played in my life, it's definitely not near the worse
I don't think that calling it one of the best games off the strength of liking its overall series or relative historical importance is a particularly genuine way to look at it.
If there are people who *do* genuinely like how it plays, then well, that's not me, and I can only share my opinion.
SMT fan and the person who played it on the show here; I hope it came across that I was happy to see some of my favorite little demons there, and appreciated it being an SMT game brought to the west.
But in my opinion, I still felt like the most important part โ playing the game โ was unfair.
A mug depicting KC Green's This Is Fine dog comic, but tragically faded
I've had my This Is Fine mug so long that the dog has become a ghost and all that remain are flames
"That's what happens when you're a lemon, and THIS is how you jar full of teeth."
That's honestly one of my biggest pet peeves with horror games in general, especially when you don't even have a temporary way to shoo them off.
I thought for the longest time I wasn't gonna like RE7 because of that, but Jack was such a small part of that game it didn't matter.
Speaking of translations, I remember watching fan translations of Hellsing back in the early 2000s, and every episode was a different translator.
So it would go back and forth from "Alucard" to "Arucard," until one episode that went with "ARKKARD" and a paragraph-long translator's note.
