Music is not fixed or rigid. A song can be adapted across any number of genres or styles if you strip it down to the essentials. This flexibility is what makes music fun, but it can also present a challenge for those who struggle to adapt.

from heertoserve on IG: Hey y'all! We have an URGENT NEED for an action TOMORROW! JANUARY 31ST at 8am at the Lincoln Theatre. 769 e long st Columbus Ohio. During the past 8 weeks over 150 unhoused residents were able to get into hotel rooms after city planned and coordinated camp sweeps along with subzero temperatures that made it even more dangerous to be outside. Now, the Community Shelter Board is set to forcibly evict 174 formerly unhoused residents of their hotel programs at the Loyalty Inn, Columbus Grand, and Budgetel on February 1st and February 5th. Many of these residents were promised a hotel room until March after their camps were demolished by the city. The Community Shelter Board communicated this to residents on January 29th, giving them only three days to pack up all of their belongings and find a new place to call home, even during these current cold winter months. WHERE IS THE HOUSING? The Columbus promise of everybody deserves safe housing is not one that is being kept! Join us at their "pathway to progress" event to protest the forcible eviction and mistreatment of unhoused folks at the Lincoln Theatre at 8am this Friday, January 31st. The Community Shelter Board must take accountability for the unhoused people they are putting at risk and the trauma our neighbors are enduring. Not able to make it?
