Why do we STRONGLY support the millionaire's tax?
Bc EVERYONE should pay their fair share, not just middle + low income workers.
New 3% surtax on income exceeding $1 million would generate $135 million in additional state revenue per year + only affects 2,300 tax filers total.
— and that the timing is critical: "the needs are real, the harm is looming, and a solution is possible."

The session was led by Cynthia Osborne, Professor of Early Childhood Education & Policy at Vanderbilt University & ED of Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center.
We strongly support Governor Dan McKee's budget proposal + legislation introduced by Rep. Teresa Tanzi and Sen. Lammis Vargas to create a RI Child Tax Credit that will:
✔️Reduce child poverty
✔️Improve family financial stability
✔️Boost child well-being
✔️Stimulate RI's economy!
