In some people it seems to be inherited brain structure. In some people it even seems to be brain damage. But I think the over-diagnosis of ADHD can also be attributed to its many symptoms that overlap with other disorders, such as CPTSD. One of my foster kids had trouble focusing due to trauma.
Everyone is giving their pre-programmed knee-jerk responses to this, and my original post here was a joke, but you're absolutely right that more kids exhibit supposed ADHD symptoms when they're getting way too much screen time, especially short-form videos.
They say ADHD symptoms are reduced by half when you cut out processed foods. But I’ve found they’re reduced 100 percent when you put on Samurai Jack.

I think that's absolutely what makes him sympathetic. All of the Watchmen are terrible, including him, but he at least believes in right and wrong and there's a hint that his actions will help the truth come out in the end. Same with the Comedian.
