If you make your goal in each audition to find the joy, power, love and passion IN the audition itself, you'll achieve it 100% of the time!
And y'know what? Your auditions will FEEL better (i.e. SOUND better) when the CD hears your joy in them!
Absolutely! ^_^ Anyone's allowed to audition for any character they like! It's always up to the CD's discretion whether the voice/talent is applicable :) So go for it!

If we ran an explainer event with professional audio engineers called 'How To Use Plug-Ins So You Don't Turn Into A Dumb-Dumb Baby Like Reece'* for like… $30, unlimited attendance, would you be interested?

To clarify: X getting banned in the UK is a BIIIG maybe, and we're not here to fearmonger. But it's officially on the table.
As long as X is still operational in the UK, we'll do our best to fulfil commitments to our clients and the talent in our network without compromising our values or our work.
Hey folks. The other site MAY get banned in the UK soon.
And that may not be a bad thing. Bad site, bad vibes, brings out the worst in people, including us…
Tbh, we're already uncomfortable feeding our clients' work into the slop churner.
But we're still here, and we'll always be here for you!
If happiness is driving you forward in this journey, then the destination is simply a byproduct of your effort. If walking the journey is the focus, the result is simply a predicted outcome.
The only variable then, is time. And that is something we cannot control.
Happiness must be the journey. ❤️
It may be an overly optimistic perspective, but we know it's true: anything worth doing will take time. And if you persist, progression / proficiency / traction will result.
There are a thousand variables, of course, and no guarantees. Which is precisely the reason why happiness must be the reason.
Success is never a guarantee. Even the evidence of progression isn't indicative of a successful career in the making. The anxiety and disheartening perspectives are both valid experiences when it comes to this line of work.
However, I sincerely believe if you put the work in, progress comes out. 🧵
They never have, and presumably never would be. It's not a situation we've ever been presented with before. It's definitely not the same site it was.
Our priority to rebuild our talent network here and elsewhere so leaving that site behind won't impact our ability to reach talent.
You're right. That's our first choice option. We'd be happy to never post there again.
The only loose end is that public casting calls are a major part of what we offer our clients, and that site's always been our biggest and most widely-accessed public-facing platform for reaching talent.
