@benstylus
I'm benstylus. I block/mute 18+ accounts, ai, bots, overly aggressive/abrasive people, techbros, etc. DM's are OK but don't send unsolicited commissions/sales/fundraisers/etc. Not interested. Just here to be happy. he/him or they/them is fine.

So as it turns out, I couldn't get it working. However, apparently this game's fans are VERY dedicated and have done the mod work to make it run natively on modern systems!
This one worked like a charm!
Armada F/X Racers, the Game Boy Color racing game based on the co-op space action-rpgish game Armada for the Dreamcast.
#randomgamesaturday you say?
Here's one i found in my cd tower yesterday. Bought it decades ago. Wonder if i can still get it to run on my windows 11 potato?
But i'm glad it does!
A goofy looking gangster from the Apple ii version of Carmen Sandiego
A V.I.L.E. Henchman! You must be on the right track!
This and Race Drivin' on game boy both make my jaw drop.
Race Drivin' is especially impressive because it runs way better than the SNES and Genesis ports!
And yes i see the humor of going to McDonald's to alleviate a bowel issue instead of causing one.
Before that, the last time I chose to go to McDonalds was to get street passes from the Nintendo Zone thing back in the early 3DS days.
I don't believe i bought food on most of those occasions, just stayed in the parking lot near the building if I could. Sometimes I had to go in though.
...a few sips it went into the bin.
It was one of those places that I would never choose to go, but if I'm with a group of friends and they want to go, I wouldn't refuse to go with them.
After that shake it's dropped to active refusal status.
The last time I went to McDonald's was because I was having gastrointestinal distress and if I didn't stop somewhere I was going to have very brown pants. After I finished my business, I felt obliged to buy something, so I got a shake and left. It had an odd plastic-like aftertaste, so after...
All of gaming is conveniently split into two groups.
Group 1: Retro Games
Group 2: The Post-Dreamcast Era.
The game was "save[d] from the memory hole of history" by video game historian Frank Cifaldi and his archivist organization The Video Game History Foundation (VGHF).[4] He believes the game is a great example of history that might have been lost had he not recovered documents for his archival non-for-profit organization.[9]
Also, thanks @frankcifaldi.bsky.social
Where in North Dakota is Carmen Sandiego box art.
With gas prices on the rise, even master thief Carmen Sandiego has had to rein in her travel budget.
No longer traveling through time, the World, Europe, or the whole USA. She is staying in one state now, presumably stealing gas stations.
This one may be fake but the thumbpenis PS3 ad was real.
I think it was Arctic Thunder that had the fan. I don't remember it being on Hydro Thunder on any machines I played.
But boy was Arctic Thunder a step down in the fun department in comparison
We won guys, the pixel Pikachu plush everyone went nuts for is coming to the US and UK www.gamesradar.com/toys-collect...

You called?
"Itβs just better when everythingβs powered by crystals and Dreamcasts and Virtuaroids appear to βbreatheβ when they fight underwater, purely because the scene looks better with bubbles than without them."
What a fun, stylish, and wonderful game:

Would the Game Boy Advance SP suit your needs? It's not exactly modern buy probably on the less expensive side compared to a modded color with replacement screen.
Another one for the nostalgia feels came in yesterday.
This is the updated DOS version of Oregon Trail, though the screenshots on the back of the case show the old version.
I played this one a lot at a friend's house, but I'd love the old floppy version. Just can't seem to find it at all on ebay.
Still bitter about the Playstation bros speaking in hushed, reverent tones about FF7's shocking moment that "no developer had ever dared to do before."
Virtual On for Sega Saturn
Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram for Sega Dreamcast
People throw around the phrase "twin stick shooter" to mean some kinda game, but "twin stick" has only one meaning to me and it will always be this.
Buyer beware

There are some really weird dynamics and expectations put on people. Personally i'm glad when I hear someone is taking a break for health reasons. Better than working themselves into an early grave.
If the songs of my youth are to be believed, they are also good for your heart.
