Have read the book, albeit a few years ago now. Thanks for taking time to reply.

Whose power is unrestricted?
As any journalist will know, you're repeatedly contacted by media directories - in this case Cision - who probably use AI to cobble together a wildly inaccurate profile of you, and then expect you to correct it, so they can earn more money from the fools who buy it. Apparently, I co-own PC Pro.
Who could possibly have seen this coming?
The BBC documentary on Dunblane tonight was an exceptional piece of work.
Trapped in a Kafka-esque situation with O2. My phone has broken and won't switch on so I've ordered a new one. DPD have just attempted to deliver it, but they need a pin. Which was sent to my mobile. So they've taken it away again. I'm on the O2 website trying to work out what to do. Their 'help'
Genuine question, but why do you believe juries are preferable to a bench of magistrates for these cases? At least magistrates have some training. Juries have none. Or is it the sentencing you're most concerned with?
My daughter's GCSE PE homework just asked her to name which sport Neal Foulds played. He's a minor snooker player who retired a year before she was born. Tough gig.
HOW? HOW DO YOU "UNDERSTAND" THIS? MESSAGES FROM THE SPIRIT WORLD?
The BBC's got some front with this story. Its weather app is the absolute worst for showing rain icons on a day when it's only expected to drizzle for ten mins.

A good problem to have? Anthropic admits heavy demand has led to several Claude outages in the past week, as users flee ChatGPT:

Britain first, eh?
Whoever designed this box with the white text on white grid should have been deported. To the moon.
Let's just say the file you receive when you attempt to export your ChatGPT data is not super-helpful...

Extraordinary crowds as a mass funeral procession begins in Minab, Iran for the 165 school girls & teachers killed in the US/Israeli school strike on Saturday.
Many outcomes of this war are uncertain. But a renewed generation of hatred towards the West is now baked in.

Think there is something to be written about how bad the news environment has got for people who want to keep up with politics but don't have the time/knowledge to go beyond the flagships.
Bad news for the magazine publishers. Smith's the only place you'll find a lot of titles.
I would say one as your organisation's name is singular and so would be confusing.
Brewdog was an object lesson in how to nuke a brand. (PS. Its Dark Heart stout is still one of my favourite tipples.)

Kindle Prime Reading has always been largely dross, but contained the odd gem. It's a gem-free experience these days.
If you're joining the ChatGPT exodus after this weekend's events, you might want to read this:

Gas prices soar after Iran invasion. Who's got huge, unused gas pipelines? Why isn't it our old friend, Vladimir. Is this another of Trump's deals?

Honestly the collective national level of disdain for Brits living in Dubai on all my social media platforms today really is bringing the UK together as one in a way that's hard to achieve in the modern era.
If Anthropic is really up for the fight, they should cut off the US government immediately, not work out the six months' notice that Hegseth implies they're taking:

So the Greens now have more directly appointed MPs than Reform, so by Chris Mason's political logic, that must make them 'real' opposition to Labour...so I expect to see them represented on every political show the Beeb has to offer henceforth.
So CNN to fall into the hands of the Ellisons and the US loses another trustworthy source of news. Almost like they planned it...
With this I don't have to. Just read the summaries (and head back to get more detail, if I must.)
Apple is making a mistake if it does launch a touchscreen MacBook Pro next week. My thoughts here on Forbes:

I've just found an excellent use for Claude Cowork: it now scrapes my X feed and summarises tweets from the past 24 hours, so I don't need to visit the hellscape myself to find out what people who aren't on BlueSky are saying.
And then if Burnham lost, they'd almost certainly lose the Manchester mayoralty too. A double blow with twice the media feeding frenzy. I don't think it was a tactical blunder.
