⚠️ In an unprecedented move, the IDF has issued an evacuation warning for the entirety of southern Beirut in Lebanon.
Previous evacuation warnings in Beirut have been for specific buildings only that the IDF has then bombed.
Between June and now, one major improvement in the public shelter is that they installed WiFi. So we got that going for us, which is nice

I think it was a strategic stumble. It was meant as a shot across the bow but instead they sunk the ship. I suspect they wanted to signal that you can’t be partly supportive of Israel and ended up losing the seat *and* further hurting the brand.
And his victory cemented this issue as a litmus test (partly because the pro-Israel lobby made it so)

It is really hard sometimes to keep the big picture in mind but whereas it was noteworthy that just two people were elected to Congress in 2018 who were openly and hyper critical of Israel, in 2026 it will be more than two dozen.
