I'm of the believe that the best way to use photoshop is to deinstall it and install one of the other programs that does the job. Not an option for everyone but still worked out for me for nearly 1.5 decades.
Any base class, no multiclassing or homebrew should make for a nice start. Just to keep the learning you need to do down. As for difficulty: That mostly depends on your DM. Like they have the control if your first fight is one goblin or 3 dragons (so to speak).

Something is weird about tone brightness. If you crank it up and lower it down again the sound gets lower in volume.
The real sad part in my opinion is that pre Steam (or at least digital retail for games) stuff seemed to have been even worse for indies. At least from the data I could get from people that worked in the industry back then. Like what we have now is already the better landscape.
