Order and disorder. Heavily relied on GPT to one-shot the polygon subtraction & merge algorithm, which gave me a mixed feeling.

Everything fits... prefectly?

Not sure if I'm out of my mind but I made a dancing monitor with all boxesπ.

Convergence - really fun playing with polar coordinates. I always feel my approach to generative art is too "intentional", like I always "design and implement" the pattern. This time it is purely accidental!

To avoid blinky result I also keep a record of previous 12 states of a cell and smooth out the color. Also to at least have some blank area I sneaked 3 states that renders nothing :P
A little square is actually 1/4 size of a cell. NW, NE, SW, SE are 4 states with different shades of yellow. The rule is as simple as if I have [2 or 3] neighbors go to next state, or [0 or 8] neighbors it will go to another state.
Cellular automata with N states. Did not come up with good ideas that are both cool and achievable tonight :D
The waving of color is nicer than I anticipated, though.

Keep up! This is my 4th Genuary and back in 2023 & 2024 I could only got 3-4 entries done after day job. This year Iβm finally able to follow almost daily as the geometry hacks I coded before become copy-paste-able.
Generative city blocks.

Low Resolution.
Gaussian sampling with a larger stddev to fetch colors at distance. Noise on stddev to avoid uniform blur.

So cool. I did something with position-based physics too! :D
Cool idea!
Animation attempt. Tried to create some visually pleasing bouncy effects but PBD did not quite deliver.

So awesome!
Hey Shawn, this is really interesting :D. Do you make it squash when it bounces off the wall or they happen individually?

So true. Very gentle character!
Gonna have a cozy stay-home Christmas.

Joining. Hopefully I can update every day too. torayuri.neocities.org/daydreams
Would be cool to persist a room ID though :(
Is it possible to keep the room ID after exit?
Midnight commute in neo cities!
