F1's new 1-decimal gap display isn't just dumbing down the data. It creates a rounding problem that actually matters.
Overtake mode activates within a second of the car ahead. So is 0.950 shown as 1.0? Is 1.049 shown as 1.0? Cars could look out of range or in range when they're not.

Here's a rare look at a #F1 brake by wire (BBW) unit from @BremboBrakes. Rear braking is a mix disc brake & MGUK.
What pressure the driver puts into the pedal is measured by the ECU, which then balances the MGUK Regen and via the BBW disc any disc braking that's required

If I had a nickel for every time new engine regs began with a top 3 in qualifying consisting of two Mercedes drivers and a Red Bull driver making his team debut alongside a 4-time champion teammate, I'd have two nickels.

The PU is split up into components, with a limit per driver.
1st time over that limit its a 10 place grid penalty, then 5 for each one after.
For 2026 there's an extra unit of each, + Audi being new, get 1 extra.
The first pole position of the 2026 season has been claimed by George Russell. The Briton was more than two-tenths faster than runner-up and Mercedes teammate, Kimi Antonelli. Third place went to Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar.

Could you do the chart without Aston Martin,
As they are unlikely to finish the race atm,
imo it would be better to omit them until Honda have fixed the battery vibrations.

but what's the criteria Aston Martin need to satisfy to earn FOM money from the Australian GP ?
Last time it happened, iirc, Super Aguri didn't make the boat to travel to the Turkish GP.
Tried tracking some long runs from Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren & Red Bull in FP2.
Hard to draw anything from most of them but Mercedes got a good number of laps in and looked good.
