Happy Weird Pride Day to all who celebrate!
I'm really happy with how it's coming together so far. I hope we'll see a good few people posting bits of writing and videos and things today, too, besides the things I've directly organised myself (with help from many others)...

Joanne on @zackpolanski.bsky.social: "he's like the neurodivergent person at the meeting, going 'I'm going to say the thing that everyone else is avoiding saying, because I don't know why they're avoiding saying it, because it's actually the point that they're talking round and round.'"
SO TRUE.

A Naomi C Fisher tweet:
"Last month we interviewed
@FrithUta
for our new podcast, Let's Talk Neurosense: the psychology of neurodiversity. She touched on many of the themes in her @tes interview, in particular should we be dividing the autism spectrum into subgroups and how masking has affected the way that we understand autism. Here's our interview.

Why we need to rethink the autism spectrum with Dame Uta Frith"

Daaaaamn. Of all the people I once admired who've ended up disappointing, Naomi Fisher appears determined to displace Judy Singer in the Most Disappointing stakes.
Here she is tagging Kathleen Stock and Helen Lewis in a tweet about her supportive interview with Uta Frith for her new podcast.

I highly recommend giving this short article a read. By framing fascism as a psychological or cognitive aberration, not only do we uphold neuronormative structures, but we also fail to see how fascism is a response to challenges to ruling class power in a state of crisis and decay.

From Neuroqueer Rhetoric to Neurocommunism: Ontology, Praxis, and New Forms of Life
Some thinking I have been doing about 'Neurocommunism'
My first substack post is live!
βNeurocommunism refers to a political ontology in which forms of collective life are organised around neuroqueer sensory, communicative and relational practices rather than normative capitalist productivity and communicabilityβ.
