Have you seen Rod Stewart's model railway? It's a shame he's a cunt now but still... one hell of a model railway.
Fair. I always liked the thought that Eurorack is to music what golfing is to sport, i.e. prohibitively expensive and typically the preserve of affluent, middle-aged men.

I think the funding for this has since been extended for another 11 months but your point still stands.
Devblog I've just started - mainly to chart the development of some of the tools I've been building between 2016 and today. Will probably, in the future, also feature reviews of relevant papers and some stuff on workflows relevant to experimental electronic music.

Why does that coffee grinder sound like it's soundtracking a trailer for an A24 horror film?
CS2 for life. (GIMP is really good these days though)
The video demonstrates what you can achieve in one click but there are a number of tools built in (control over image resynthesis parameters, polygon/rectangular selection) for further work.
The most obvious application here is audio repair (Steinberg SpectraLayers does something similar, I think). I'm more interested in its application in experimental electronic music ("filling in" sections of audio using texture transfer within spectrogram images leads to some weird effects).
GIMP's implementation of the latter (derived from Paul Harrison's 2005 thesis on image texture resynthesis) pre-dates Photoshop's tool and this is a direct implementation of Harrison's technique.
In the example video, I select and "heal" a sine sweep that has been imposed over a recording of speech
Work in progress tool for visual selection and "healing" of portions of audio. Takes inspiration from a couple of Photoshop features, "magic wand" and "content-aware fill".
Work in progress module. Takes an image (designed to take quick sketches of curves on my whiteboard). Attempts basic fitting and then more advanced fitting (symbolic regression) before generating an approximate control voltage signal that's spat out over a 12-bit DAC.
Klok (Euclidean sample sequencer/live coding environment) and Grain Surgeon (scriptable granular sampler), 2017. Currently doing a complete rewrite of Klok.

Never trust a guru. This looks interesting. Just to note, as you may already know, there are apparently significant differences between the version that is currently streaming and the theatrical release (including a different ending).
