Great episode, but missed the mark on Wing Commander. Calling it just a flight sim is like saying Portal is just a game with a gun. WC pioneered the idea that games could become grand cinematic experiences on par with Hollywood. That's its influence. Without WC, there's no Mass Effect.

I hopped on to suggest Lucian's True Story after the fact but, since Leganto already did, may I suggest a future subgenre deep dive into diaspora fiction? 1000xRESIST is a great example (Peabody award, Hugo & Nebula noms), but there are other excellent works in the Latin & African diasporas, too.
