Hiked to Mallory cave this morning. Bit of a rock scramble to get there but nothing bad. I've been hiking here for over 44 years.

Nice run today up lions lair to the top of Mt sanitas. Feeling pretty good for an old guy
A buddy and I did a quick hike up boulder's green mountain west ridge trail and this little asshole grouse was attacking everyone on the trail. I've never dealt with such an aggressive bird like this. Like he was seriously protecting about 300 feet of the trail and didn't want anyone there.
Cold morning for a hike/run below the flatirons. It was 20 degrees with a bit of fresh snow on the trails. I hadn't hiked in a week and really needed to get out.

Another nice day of weather and another hike. This time Mt sanitas. Up the hard way then a trail run down the east side.
Beautiful day for a 10 k trail run west of Superior.
Yep. And there were a handful of others that are still blocking the trail that the park guys haven't gotten to.
Another day, another hike. I decided to hike green mountain outta Boulder this morning. Chilly and breezy but a nice day out.
View of Boulder from the quarry
My feet at the quarry
Traffic issue on the run down
Looks like the weather is getting colder this coming week so I had to get out for a trail run this morning. I ran to wood's quarry, ok mostly ran... there's a lot of uphill getting there.
Bear peak and south Boulder peak from the north
My feet on top of south Boulder peak
Lady bugs on south Boulder peak
Such a beautiful Colorado day on Sunday. A bit breezy but the day was warm. I hiked Bear peak and south Boulder Park the longer way... Busy mountains but I couldn't blame anyone for wanting to be outside.
Today I went to Golden gate canyon S P and did a 9.4 mile (15 km) trail run. Blue sky, green evergreens, gold Aspen with white trunks and shades of brown on the trail made for a colorful but exhausting morning run.
This was my longest trail run yet and we'll see how the legs are in the morning π¬
Yesterday's hike up to Rodger's pass lake and heart lake was gorgeous. Aspens were popping, lots of snow and ice and mud, but no mooses... π«
Hike out of Estes Park to Sprague lake with early fall colors
Today's traffic jam while coming down the trail from Mt democrat. Momma mountain goat and her 2 kids. I went wide around them but momma kept an eye on me.
Nice morning for a trail run in Golden gate canyon State Park. It did not disappoint. Fabulous and so much fun, especially running down the west side of mule deer trail.
I'm planning on coming back when the aspens change, that should be even more awesome...
Wow...

Downtown Westminster is a joke. No one wants to pay to park in Westy of all places. Few people from outside the apartments there will visit because they don't want to pay to park. That's the main reason tattered cover struggled & left & until things change it will never be a place anyone visits.
Sorry, Not Sorry.. π₯

Looking towards Estes Park
Sometimes it's not how high the mountain you climb is but how great the views are. Today was my first time hiking up Lily mountain by Estes park and it's got some nice views.
When the world kicks you in the balls, pack your gear and go climb a mountain... I did bald mountain 13,630ish near Breckenridge Colo. Lots of false summits, loose rock, a few mountain goats and no people. There was a spot about 1/4 mile from the summit that had me questioning my life choices though
It's the middle of May in Colorado and I'm eating home grown tomatoes from the greenhouse. Yum π
I went cat fishing and caught one π good way to run off that sphinx energy
#crazycat #sphinx
I've got flowers just waiting to be put out, just need the weather to cooperate. Also... My greenhouse tomatoes should be ready to eat in a couple weeks
All I need to do is whistle and the chickens come running
I got new trail runners. I go fast, watch me... π
Me at the arch
I hiked up to Royal Arch above Boulder this afternoon (shown on the map on my arm π).
A bunch of ice on the trail and almost everyone was ill prepared for it, but not me.
That's 3 hikes in 6 days. I keep this up and I'll be unstoppable ππ. Definitely feeling strong for this early in the year.
I went for a trail run this afternoon up Mt sanitas. 4.5 miles rt and I got back right before a rain storm hit. #oldguyrunning
I'll call this "Moon over the flatirons". I took this on my way to work this morning. The picture doesn't do the scene justice
It's the middle of winter and my tomato plants are a foot high. I'm about to transplant them into their final pots and am looking forward to eating tomatoes in a couple months
