"THE FACE OF PAIN is unlike anything I have ever read. Itβs original, disturbing, disgustingly beautiful, and horribly upsetting. With that being said, it is impossible to put down once you crack the front cover." -- Dave Dreher, Gruesome Magazine

Here's where I'll be Saturday! In addition to signing books, I'll be doing a panel with several fantastic writers! Come see us if you can!
Proof that the mass market paperback is dead. I wonder if sales of popular fiction will fall off or if readers are used to trade paperback-sized indie and small press novels.
Happy Women in Horror Month!
Ready for the Tasting With Friends fundraiser for the Washington-Centerville Library! The Library ordered my latest collection, and since I usually bring way too many of my own books to events, I thought I'd see what happens when I promote just one.
Author copies!
I'll be one of the participating authors at this event tomorrow night! Details at the link:

Finally getting around to watching this. It's slow as hell with flat performances and no real suspense. But what pisses me off is that the two parents keep leaving their young daughter alone in other rooms when there's a monster outside the house trying to break in.
I'm so glad you liked it!
The other day I wrote a story about Something Bad scratching on the inside of a closed door. Today, something is scratching on the inside of this door in my house. Just another day in the life of a horror writer...
The 1000 Women in Horror doc has been a long time coming. Looking forward to finally seeing it! π€ππ€
Link, not lino! My God, I can't type today!
Sorry about the lino. Somehow a typo in my reply became a link. It leads nowhere. My recovery after both surgeries was very easy.
My left eye was done a few years ago. Because it is a bit oddly shaped, no lens exists that could give me 20/20 vision. It's very close, though, and I wear a contact in it. My right eye was done a few months ago, and I have 20/20 vision in it.
Finished a new short story for an anthology today. Since most of my stories are weird-ass experiments, I never know if they work until I get editorial feedback. I'll let you know!
Is Bailey having an existential crisis or wondering how long it'll be until dinner? (I'm not sure there's any difference for a dachshund.)
My college's library has installed some study desks with a play space for little ones. Very cool!
Happy 26th birthday to my daughter Leigh Waggoner! (She's on the left next to her boyfriend Colin.) I'm so very proud of the woman she's become, and it's an honor to be her dad!
I had no idea this existed. Anyone seen it?
Ed Downes took this picture of me admitting I have no idea what I'm talking about at the Superstars Writing Seminar!
Happy Valentine's Day!
