Raggedy Ann the Musical is partially lost media; it only ran on Broadway for five shows, although it was a hit in the USSR and ran for many previews and shows in Albany and DC. With a script by William Gibson of “The Miracle Worker” and score by the legendary Joe Raposo of “Sesame Street” Raggedy Ann is an exciting and heartfelt dark fantasy adventure that’s sadly forgotten in Broadway history.

What is R.A.R.E.? What is our ultimate goal? Our goal is to restore and revive the Broadway version of Raggedy Ann, by recovering and cleaning up the script, creating instrumentals for the music, and recovering any lost Raggedy Ann the Musical content we can find, so that hopefully we may one day put Raggedy Ann on as a show! Every time I see new bits of The Gaslight District, I get hyped. It's so grimy and gross, but it also has some of the most beautiful and artistic shots I've ever seen in an indie show. The story and characters are also fun as hell. You better watch it when it comes out or I'll kill you.

Today's the big day! "The Day The Earth Blew Up" is finally out in theaters in the US & Canada! I hope you all go see the film and appreciate all the hard work each and every one put into this little film that could! It's rare to see a film like this make it on the big screen, so go and support it!

Farmer Jim in The Day The Earth Blew Up

Bit of a spoiler here for the new Looney Tunes movie but I loved the Farmer Jim character who sort of represents Bob Clampett and Tex Avery. He doesn’t die but just leaves, symbolic of Clampett and Avery leaving the original studio and the characters. No one else read into it that much but oh well.

If you wanna know the kind of Looney Tunes geek I am, I instantly clocked Farmer Jim as a parody of the dad from the early Chuck Jones short "Tom Thumb in Trouble."
