Will investigate - thanks Graeme!
Overjoyed to interview this guy, who is something very special indeed: the next artist you'll be obsessing over www.theguardian.com/music/2026/m...
She was great in Andor, scariest Imperial of the lot
We've just discovered that you can sing the lyrics to Hallelujah over the chorus to Radio Free Europe

From the new Private Eye, out now.
It was my first Neil, so I'm biased. But I've since listened to A LOT of Neil and you're absolutely right, he never sounded better. Love how the songs collapse into these extended crash'n'burn scenarios, lots of feedback and scree and tumbling drums, almost jazz-like. I hope he lives forever.
I love how at the end of Cinnamon Girl the melody from Norwegian Wood suddenly materialises amid the drone and scree. Iβve listened to Arc, and admire it, but Weldβs balance of structure and post-song fallout is just perfect.
I have not regretted my choice!
Took it back to Our Price the day I bought it because I couldnβt believe Hey Hey My My was supposed to sound like that. An embarrassing day. In my defence I was 16 and had never heard Crazy Horse before.

Side note that Company Flowβs Patriotism, originally off the hella patchy Soundbombing 2 and included here, goes as hard as political rap ever has, each stanza like a punch to the throat youtu.be/6V8-IppQpbs?...
I find this place quite dull in the absence of @jamellebouie.net
Frogmarched from the shop by security, and every subsequent replacement was more incompetent and unpleasant. Awful company. Deserved to die.
I worked at Smiths in the 90s paying my way through university. Made some great friends and some fond memories but the company was vile - they made much of their experienced store management redundant in the mid-90s in the most brutal way - my first manager, a really lovely, competent guy, was

I need this gutter racistβs name to be mud before the year is out. If we donβt reinstate actual costs for lying and fascism we will never dig ourselves out of this mess.
