My family goes back 13 generations (mom’s side) to the 1630’s - starting with ministers who escaped religious persecution in England. This guy is full of it.

Oh, I was steamed about that choice back in the day. Nobody Does It Better should have won. (Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager.)

Candle on the Water is also a better song among the nominees, but I still haven’t seen Pete’s Dragon. I heard the song, later, working at beautiful music KDB.

I’d have to go back and look at the nominees. Just a few notes, Boone had a massive hit with many weeks at number one that summer and did not sing the song in the movie, which starred Didi Conn. I think I liked the movie performance better, but I only saw the movie once. Off I go.
