Yesterday was a good outing.

I photograph people with personality and places with grit — From rust-covered steel giants to humans generous enough to let me point a lens at them, I’m here to make images that hit hard. My upcoming book, Life Through a Bipolar Lens, coming soon.
Yesterday was a good outing.
Found a new spot today! This makes me incredibly happy. New spots can be hard to find.
I don’t us AI on images as part of my portfolio. Sometimes I do play with it by using one as the subject and work with the ai to tell a story. Here are both shots. The original and the AI
My son Cody took these two shots.
Cropping, to me, is one of the most important components of creating an image.
I like the larger context of the un-cropped images.
But, I really dig the flavor of the cropped versions.
Which do you prefer?
Winter and spring simultaneously
Sometimes I get lucky enough to be in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.
Not a great picture. I was practicing this sort of effect. The blur in the photo kind of compresses the field. Look at the space between the batting box and the pitchers mound. It makes it look like a toy, I think, anyway. What do you think?
Lol
Playing with my Nikon Coolpix 8700. She’s old, it she is fun to shoot with.
Yes!!
Not my photo. Who knows what this is?
I had to re-crop this one. Sometimes, after I sit with them for a while, what I see changes.
One more from the church
A few more from East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church

I crop a little, punch up a color or 2, but for my work, I don't fundamentally change the image. Sometimes I take an image that isn't good and do whatever I can to make it passable. Much more editing than I would do normally, but good practice. I wouldn't use it for customer work or prints.
retro as heck! nice
Still working on dem whites.
First test shots using my new soft box lighting. I think it is a good first start.
Here’s one strictly for the camera geeks. Not a great picture but this was a test shot with my (new to me) Nikon cool pix 8700 circa 2004 with a full 8megapixels. What do y’all see as far this cameras potential? Also, I got it for 50 bucks.
In case you missed it we Taco’d Greenland. Europe gave us the old “ye shall not pass” directive.
Snow wood
I have been wrestling my equipment for years trying to get snow to look white. Not off white. White.
So, my studies this week were all about how white I can get the snow to look without blowing it out.
Over expose a bit (I know. Counterintuitive)
And meter on something dark
Weathered But Still Standing
Nature always wins.
Vietnamese food makes me smile.
