Let's predict how stupidly expensive it will be. I will guess $55

You know it
oh shit
I am so over this week
Just watched the trailer and it looks cool!
Also Homer got overleveled because I guess Monk is stupid in this game and he kept punching everything to death
When I played Disgaea 5, I actually did do that for Maggie, since they have guns in that game ๐คฃ
Otherwise she'd be stuck as a boring Archer
If you think it's sexist to make the women the magic users, blame FF Tactics' system
(Also Homer and Bart are too stupid to learn magic) ๐
In RPGs where you can name your generic party members, I like using The Simpsons because they are a well-balanced party:
Homer - High strength fighter
Bart - Speedy thief/ninja type
Marge - Support/healing magic
Lisa - Offensive magic
The Simpson family has invaded my playthrough of Final Fantasy Tactics โ๏ธ
Best I can do is an animation cel of Scratchy's arm
I remember that video got to 900k awhile back and it ended up being this very gradual march to 1m that took 7 years in total. Glad she eventually got there ๐
We did it, Mrs. K
I would say it is pretty likely Separate Vocations will get an episode review someday
Yeah, Tank Gang is a good description for them. There's a lot of human/animal stuff in this like Finding Nemo and Finding Dory where they're not afraid to get really wacky and cartoony that reminded me of those films
I prefer Turning Red to this (although I looooove Turning Red) but Hoppers might be my second favorite film of theirs since Coco. It's close between this and Luca for me
This might be a weird comparison but it reminded me of both Turning Red and Finding Nemo? Like its plot and humor is really manic and goes cuckoo-bananas sometimes like Turning Red. But its cast and vibe was so relaxed and upbeat, it was like hanging out with the Finding Nemo goofballs
Also King George is the man and I will follow this dude to the ends of the earth
Hoppers is frickin' great. It has a strong cast of lovable goofballs, a relaxed-yet-ridiculous plot, and interesting themes. It gets that character-driven Pixar heart into the film without ever feeling overly heavy or maudlin. Very strong film overall and one of Pixar's funniest in a while ๐ฆซ ๐ชต ๐ฅ
That's weird, someone is storing a bunch of pencils in my skull
I definitely landed in the "I want to like this more than I do" category with Bartman Begins. Maybe I was just being nitpicky because I like Mr. Bats
Honestly, anyone who wants to challenge my rankings for this list in general is not gonna get a strong defense from me. Since so many landed in the "it's pretty good" category that could change based on the day ๐คฃ
I feel like a lot of this is how much you like the source material too
I feel like in the old days people though the Smile Time Variety Hour was the weakest segment, but I think it has aged well. It's campy and fun and I love how loose it is
I was wondering if including it was cheating (since it was like a Treehouse) but wanted to see how it matched up against the Spinoff Showcase
Ironically the only muscle-y Simpsons design I don't mind is Lisa as Clobber Girl because they didn't go crazy with the abs and stuff
I think it's just all the extra lines on the characters that always look wrong to me
Also congrats to @wayslidecool.bsky.social for sussing me out
Also RIP to almost every Lisa anthology segment. After rewatching them, I was like, "maybe this is why those losers hate Lisa so much" because they are all basically the same Enlightened Lisa story with no subversion
(The Joan of Arc one was the bubble segment at #21, though)
New video! ๐จ
Anthology episodes are like the ultimate filler episodes on The Simpsons. They come and go and no one ever really thinks about them afterward. They are fine.
But surely, some of these are better than the others. So here are the Top 20 Simpsons Anthology Segments
youtu.be/KuPW8Ypn3G0?...
I hope so. But it's hard to judge since it's literally the only showing this weekend. Pixar originals have done pretty poorly lately at the box office, so I wouldn't make any bets on it
I almost never go to the early screening but might do it for this one. Been looking forward to Hoppers
(Although my theater is absolutely packed already, would have to pick a single seat in the middle) ๐ฌ
