That feeling when you get back into your car with your coffee, see the orange juice from your chicken biscuit order and your jug that you carry with you and realize you're in the adhd multi beverage club.

Iron giant or gremlins. I'd be leaning gremlins just for the Jerry goldsmith of it all.
Maybe on the image or video side, but even there I've found ways to dance with it. but I've been structuring out a podcast season and working in Claude and perplexity to develop outlines and research and particularly with Claude,'it feels like having an assistant to talk and create with.
The episode I'm working on at the moment deals at one point with mograph.net
If you were there, I'd be curious about your stories of feeling either inspired or inadequate at seeing a project. That's really just the tip of this though. Really excited about the season arc.
I've spent a good chunk of break working on a new structure for podcast episodes this next year. Part of the writing process has been exploring a much more audio doc format as a way to tell these stories. hoping to do some prompting here where people could respond via audio and used in episode
Looks like you can upgrade for 199 afterward. I'll probably do that fairly quick.
@oddernod.bsky.social I think this humble bundle is going to finally make me learn or mess around with Moho. Super great deal. www.humblebundle.com/software/ult...
Yay. My new work Puget Systems box is in the build process. Cant wait to mess with it in January.
There are some things you can do with AE That you just can't do elsewhere. I've built some cool still image based tool setups. Kind of wish I could create a single frame AE smart object in Photoshop.
But I'm sure there are some other ideas that I'll figure out as I go along. It's still absolutely batty to have someone/something that can sit beside me and just start teasing this stuff out. It's really magical sometimes.
It's really magical that you can kind of sit and flesh out an idea and then start to implement and test. I think the thing I'm most excited about is a "conversation de-escalator" that'll let you vent and then translate the language into something you should probably say instead. ๐๐
When it works, it'll prompt in the morning for tasks. But it'll also start to see if I can take anything off of my wife's plate. Still need to work on that part. But I had definitely never set up a twilio and digitalocean server to create a flow of data back and forth.
Started working on a home project the other night with Claude. Wife and I were having a conversation about budget and task lists and all of the stuff we drop the ball on. after talking with Claude a bit we started building a couples oriented text msg based adhd scheduler/helper.
Thanks for the rec. I mostly lean on True Grit or stuff I've been making, but I'm always open to something new.
I think about resurrecting some version of that every so often. I feel like I'd even settle for just having the voiceover guy available as a tool just so that I can send shoutouts to freelancers.
This is brilliant. Would love to talk about some consulting on some stuff.
Book cover of a new English translation of Selected Letters of Friedrich Nietzsche
In the mail today. Looking forward to digging into it.
She's now saying that it's my fault for not having done a better job of educating her.
Daughter talking about building a mashed potato volcano led to talking about Close Encounters: "All im saying is that Close Encounters is one of Steven Spielbergs most cherished movies"
Daughter: "I don't know who Stephen whatever-his-name is." This same child also dislikes queso. Can I disown?
Is that the one with Marisa Tomei in Sidney Lumet's Before the Devil Knows You're Dead? I seem to just remember super pasty butt.๐
Mrs Behm is seeing it tomorrow with the girls and their theater friends. Showed her your review and she shot me this. ๐ she has serious feelings about this.
Well they kill them and sing Christmas music. Maybe a couple of people don't make it, but it's one of the more heartwarming zombie apocalypses you could experience. It's sort of if Warm Bodies and Sean of the Dead had a low budget Christmas musical baby.
Iโve got three proposals out and nothing locked in through the end of the year.
If you need an experienced motion designer, vfx artist, product manager, pipeline architect, or drumming personal chef, let me know!
Messing around with the new iteration of the Adobe podcast voice tool and its more naturalistic v2 is really great. I'm particularly impressed with how well it cleans up really old audio. That, combined with the new dialog model Play.ht launched and... man, it's crazy what you can do.
Talk about a rough(ness) crowd.
Looks more like an albedo
Didn't actually end up even getting to it because I had a bunch of stuff to download but at least it's prepped for me to get back into it.
Time to make the proverbial doughnuts. Going to hop back in and start to figure out what I need to do to wrap some font stuff up and try to get some stuff wrapped up for release. Have a handful of tasks I'd like to still get done before the end of the year even if parts spill into 2025.
There are people at our office who will be excited to mess with this.
