Some issues have come up with my apartment that require me to spend more money than I am used to for this pay period in addition to rent. Anything helps and it will make gas & groceries for the next two weeks less stressful.

I'm not one of those "I'm better because I always hated it" gals, I loved Firefly back in the DVD days. But the shine starts to come off when you start recognizing the Confederate narrative. Or when the Whedon stuff starta coming out. Or when one of the main cast members coins "gamergate".
And since there's rumors going around, I'm definitely over Firefly.
You don't have them putting on costumes like Colonel Sanders and taking up wholesome grandpa personas like Dave Thomas. They're just boring rich guys now. Like, Michael Eisner *tried* to have a screen persona, even if he sucked at it. None of these guys care about that kind of thing at all.
From a commercial perspective, the problem with the "McDonald's CEO eats a hamburger" saga is that CEOs and company founders aren't marketable characters anymore.
It wasn't a VIP event or anything, but since it had a wine tasting element, it was 21 or up, and I was 20 at the time. So, I just saw an opening, slipped through a backdoor, and nobody carded me. I didn't really share more than a passing "love your work" with them.
It was a minor film festival in 2007, both were there to promote movies nobody remembers. Rudd had this anthology comedy film called THE TEN, and Steve Burns was taking a stab at making stuff for grownups with a vampire comedy called NETHERBEAST INCORPORATED.

SCROOGE: You there, boy! What day is it? BOY: Today? Why, today is Slay the Spire 2 Day! SCROOGE: Then I haven't missed it!
I snuck into a Hollywood wine tasting where I met both Paul Rudd and Steve from Blue's Clues.

An unspeakable of the Oscar Wilde sort
stores have no idea how much shoplifting takes place, they only know when stock doesn't match records. how much is due to human error, incorrect shipments, breakage, and theft is a guess. literally cannot know if shoplifting is on the rise.
this was a radicalizing discovery for me.

Everything feels out of sync. I can't figure out to do with myself. Don't have a steady grasp on much these days.
the worlds not over
keep taking your meds
keep taking your HRT
keep scheduling surgeries
keep talking to friends
keep eating
keep sleeping
the worlds not over
you're still needed
this is how wendy carlos looked in that one video of her showing off the synthesizer while still pretending to be a boy
text over a photo of bruce campbell walking along a trail in a picturesque mountain area: Hi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it's referred to as an "opportunity," so let's go with that - I'm having one of those. It's also called a type of cancer that's "treatable" not "curable." I apologize if that's a shock β it was to me too. The good news is, I'm not gonna go into any more detail. I'm posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change - appearances and cons and work in general need to take back seat to treatment. My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie Ernie & Emma this fall. There are several cons this year summer that I have to cancel. Big regrets on my part. Treatment needs and professional obligations don't always go hand-in-hand. That's about it. I'm not trying enlist sympathy-or advice-Ijust want to get ahead of this information in case false information gets out (which it will). Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch and I have great support, so I expect to be around a while. As always, you're the greatest fans in the world and I hope to see you soon! Much love, Bruce Campbell
this is getting shared around so may as well here, it is real, sending bruce love and luck π
So how about them genders, huh?
Youtube did take it down, and I've had no luck getting it back up there. However, it's been uploaded to the Internet Archive.

From the mind that gave us Riki-Oh (the original manga, not the famous Hong Kong Category III film) comes something that just might be even more crazy. Just not in the way you expect.
Got another 100, so all I have left is $235!!
You probably canβt personally stop the war in Iran today. Is there something you can do for your neighbors hiding from ice? For a trans person in Kansas? Any local aid orgs or rapid response networks? Phone banks? Anyone already doing good shit that just needs a hand?
What a time to be paying taxes
Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
We'll see how it plays out, I guess. I thought more was gonna happen when First Term Trump bombed that general six years ago, so, you know, hell world and whatever.
