Sky Pilot
W.P. Weston
1954
A bright red-orange background. Falling from the sky like a safe tossed off a skyscraper is a large, brass-colored cube that looks like it is made of metal or stone. Embossed on the slightly cracked front is a chunky question mark with four bolts around it, like the question boxes in the Mario universe. It is, judging from the size of the person running away from its anticipated point of impact, the size of a small house. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

Have you watched the Technology Connections video about renewables? It's really good!
I'm sure you've run into @dieworkwear.bsky.social but just in case you haven't, he has some good deep dives about tailoring and menswear.

Pros:
Easy to edit/rescale
Fill tones with any brush/bucket fill/ect
Can turn off colour layer effect to create black and white templates for Riso printing
Free
Cons:
A lot of layers, can get chuggy & you might get sick of swapping around
QRP with a cartoon that has an awesome (theme) song

The Raccoons intro was pretty whatever but the end credits go insanely hard.
A profile of a young woman, drawn in ballpoint pen
Had some free time waiting today, trying to do something besides doomscroll.
A digital ink sketch of a white throated sparrow with a cowboy hat and a hobo bindle traipsing across a desert landscape. The hand written text reads βGot nothinβ to loseβ¦ and ainβt that the thrill of it all.β There is also a spilled can of beans above the artistβs signature (Sam Posnick).
Drew this. Hope it helps someone!
I totally read it as ping but I say it out loud to someone else as P-N-G because it's a less common format
A big crocodile inspired dragon
Working on a bigger project, took a break for a quick crocodilian dragon
A strange, dark figure stalks along a grassy hillside under a bleak, grayish-yellow sky. The figure has long arms, thin legs, and a heavy body. It looks like it's wearing a suit and tie, but the upper and lower parts are one garment. It has a small green ID badge. Its head is covered by a hood with antennas, a zipper running down the middle of it. The eyes are round and glowing green, accompanied by a few small green LEDs. Its right hand has been replaced by a tool of some sort. In the background is the ridgeline of a mountain; a hazy white sun hangs in the sky. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

Jeez apparently I get so annoyed I forget entire words
On that same note, the Chuck Norris memes were originally about Vin Diesel and I get unreasonably that it's rarely acknowledged
A very long--too long for alt text--chronological history of the Zero Wing/All Your Base Are Belong To Us meme. Entries near the bottom of the image--though not the end of the timeline--read as follows: November 14, 2000: JRR, one of the SA forum regulars, releases Invasion of the Gabber Robots, the Zero Wing remix. November 28, 2000: A report/poll on the US elections appears on Ars Techinca: All Your Votes Are Belong to Us!! December 16, 2000: Tribal War's thread begins. As this is one of the oldest remaining threads, they are often mistakenly given credit for starting the phenomeon. January 12, 2001: Part 4 of "A Winner Is You," Hubert's game quote-based storyline is posted. It passes completely beneath the pop culture radar. January 14, 2001: Solidsharkey.com puts up a history. It's not as complete as this one, and may have some inaccuracies (WAS the Genesis version of ZW ever a US release? I can only find the info/ROM for a European version), but it is the first attempt at documenting ZW history. Note that I didn't find out about this until 10 minutes ago. February 11, 2001: Eskimo Bob posts Episode 12: AD 2101 February 13, 2001: memepool.com posts about AYBABTU. They link to the Tribal War thread. Approx. February 15, 2001: Bad_CRC of Tribal War releases the now-infamous music video. There are some copyright issues (permission wasn't asked to use JRR's song), but it continues to spread like wildfire. February 16, 2001: Plastic reports the Flash video.
Happy 25 year anniversary to the Flash video for Invasion of the Gabber Robots, better known to the world as All Your Base Are Belong to Us. I know, Newgrounds will claim that they invented this because the Flash video was reposted there quickly, but that is a lie as it started several months prior:
25 years ago today, ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US began its worldwide invasion on @newgrounds.com.
WIP. Inspired by old motherboards.
I learned something new today and I don't like it. That is not where anuses belong!
Mean drunk: the status effect! How long does it last?
Marginally related, I have not, and will never be able to pronounce the word "draught" correctly in my head when I read it. I learned a lot about horses and beer when I found out it's the same word as "draft"
Apparently Discord will try and figure out ages based on posting so I guess most of the servers I'm on will be fine because of all the complaining about work and life and getting old.
I don't know if there's anyone under 30 in some of the ones I'm in lmao
Thank you, that is lovely to hear!
Thank you!

It's my birthday today! I'm 41, so officially into my 40s. And 2026 will be my fifth year of drawing consistently, I drew a ton as a kid/young adult then stopped pretty much an entire decade, before starting back up in 2022.
Extra irony points when it's people doomposting with a Ukrainian flag in their profile picture.
Thank you for introducing me to WHERE THE HELL IS MY HUSBAND! it is such a fun song

I don't have an Instant Pot right now but when I did the part that bugged me was the selling point "cook food in 10 minutes!!" and then the recipe being "come up to pressure in 10 minutes, cook for 10 minutes and then wait and let steam slowly release for another 10 minutes" just say 30 minutes.
