A few weeks ago I made a post about using dried flowers for the first time with my nature impressions work. Here a few of the results. I didn’t fire all the work from that batch, because I wanted to see how they turned out before glazing and firing them all.

I know there are many reasons for this, but when the “norm” in our society is to create a sterile environment where you live then we are destroying the diversity of life on Earth. Everyone of us can provide a bit more habitat for life regardless if you have 50 acres or an apartment patio.

And then I hear folks say things about not seeing lightning bugs or bees or birds or _____ “like they used to” as if they are shocked by this?!

Finding peace, joy, and so much life here on the farmstead refuge the past few weeks! When I drive by the majority of homes and see manicured lawns with nothing but grass, the void of life makes me sad.

The sun is out and the skies are clear! So much great local art, food, beverages, and entertainment until 7 today for the @artbeerandwinefestival @ellasharpmuseum in #jacksonmichigan ☀️😎✌️

This event is at the Ella Sharp Museum @ellasharpmuseum here in Jackson from 2-7.

Hello! Here are few pieces from my most recent #grapehyacinth collection. One thing we did last fall was plant these bulbs in a variety of places scattered about in areas that receive varying amounts of sunlight.
