Is prizes for competitions any sort of factor to you personally?

It is kinda fun writing a big ol' project spec document about running a Demoparty in the near future. "Having fun" is an indicator that I have no idea what I'm doing and could use some pointers.
It would be nice if #Demoscene folks would chime in about what makes a demoparty enjoyable.

Planning to make one of my boss characters a weird abstract sound experience with fun audio reactive shaders and stuff, and for that, I'm getting into music production.

I imagine what they are actually showing is occlusion culling, which is definitely not on by default. The visualisation also shows frostum culling while at it.
