I'm still reading, and there's a chance of some late entries coming up. But for now, in no particular order, my top ten books of 2025!
People who argue "who cares it's just for kids" all I can say is fuck right off. Kids deserve thoughtful, well-made movies that challenge them just as much as adults do. Kids aren't stupid, and they remember how movies affect them basically forever.

I have been thinking about this due to my work with the estuary collective in 2020-2022 about how literary magazines could create literary communities with other mags in a way that perhaps helps us keep them active and alive. I donβt have the solutions but itβs a lot of folks trying to get publish.
