She’s recovering really well! She’s actually getting to go home tomorrow instead of Monday.

Well at least the truck and trailer are ready for the season.

MIL’s surgery starts first thing tomorrow. We’re sticking around until it’s done.
I’m lucky that I can try to preoccupy myself by working from a corner of a waiting room tomorrow. It’s going to be a very long day.

Well, not how I wanted to start my weekend. What was supposed to be full of working on the racecar, is now visiting the mother-in-law in the hospital in St Louis before heart surgery.
We just got here after driving several hours after work.

Monday after work means it’s time to go to the shop and do racecar things.
Uuuuggghhh sore today. Spent yesterday evening on the shop floor under the racecar putting the transmission back in, plus a few other small odds-n-ends.
Me and my imaginary teammate on a track walk…
Suspension and brakes essentially done. Misplaced an axle nut, went ahead and ordered several more.
Planning to drop off the fire bottle for recertification on Friday, and have to drop the trailer off for service on Thursday.
Leaves plenty of time to play with my setup tools.
Yeah I’m trying to hold off the inevitable for as long as possible… it’s going to hurt…
