Well, Jewish vengeance ghosts, so still appropriately gritty.

Also, this yearβs Class will make the Hall of Fame eligible as a source for the Video Game Canon. Iβm thinking Iβll do the next update to the Top 1000 then.
I think Dragon Quest and Silent Hill will cruise to induction, but Iβm a little surprised to see Mega Man get the nom over Mega Man 2.
Here they are, the nominees for the World Video Game Hall of Fameβs Class of 2026β¦
Angry Birds
Dragon Quest (AKA Dragon Warrior)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
FIFA International Soccer
Frogger
Galaga
League of Legends
Mega Man
PaRappa the Rapper
RuneScape
Silent Hill
Tokimeki Memorial
A lot of the summary books that come up in searches use AI.
I donβt know about Libby, but Hoopla definitely has a lot of AI junk.
I donβt really do game news much anymore, but Iβm still on a few PR lists, and an embargoed announcement I got today could be VERY interestingβ¦ but it could turn out to be nothing too.
I met Bruce at a Q&A once and he was super great. I got to ask a question about if heβd ever be interested in a Brisco County revival. βNobody watched that shit the first time aroundβ was the answer.
Trust me, nothing that man ever did was shit. And millions of people will agree with me.
Hang in there, Bruce. Show that cancer whoβs el jefe.
Well hereβs something I didnβt know I needed in my life. Iβll probably be thinking about this the rest of the night.
I feel like thereβd be an βOh yeah!β after he says closet.
What a fascinating interview. Post Games really is sone of the best video game journalism happening today.
Millennials werenβt responsible for any of the bacon nonsense.
Wikipedia has a pretty decent history of the epic bacon trend and all the trends go back to the late 90s/early 2000s, when most millennials were teenagers (and the rest were even younger).

Wow, thatβs wild! I knew Metal Storm was a bit of an under-the-radar game (even with the NP cover), but I never imagined it was that under the radar.
OK, I guess I didnβt think about the people who want a PC release because thatβs not what I use a PC for.
Iβm not sure I understand the hullabaloo with this.
Bloodborne is a) a PS4 game b) you can still buy c) that works on the PS5.
What would be the point of remaking it? Nothing else Sony released for the PS4 from that era received a remake. So Bloodborne isnβt even an anomaly. Seriously, what gives?
YES
Civil War but the Confederacy has zombies. It practically writes itselfβ¦
βThe South Will Rise Againβ
20 years ago was probably the only time I saw it, and while it was great, it felt ancient then. I canβt imagine what it feels like watching it in 20 aught 26.
You think Activision would have learned their lesson after the first time they pissed off MLB when they ripped off their logo for the Overwatch League.
Homer Simpson: If you want to ask Burns for a favor, now's the time! He's doped up or dying or something!
Those numbers seem absurdly low compared to the PlayStation and Xbox numbers in the graph above, so I'm honestly not sure how Sensor Tower came up with their numbers.
Perhaps Nintendo doesn't count free downloads, but that doesn't seem likely.
Nintendo actually publishes this info in their quarterly reports. Who knows why it wasn't included.
For 2025, 180 million total games were purchased on the Switch and Switch 2 and roughly 50% of those games (so 90 million) were downloaded though the eShop.

For one short second, i thought this post was about a Super Mario 35 revival.
And now Iβm just sad.
Maybe I will!
Poe is great. Iβm still kicking myself for missing a free show she did at a local festival almost 30 years ago.
βCumbersomeβ is like the perfect distillation of what butt rock isβ¦ but I also donβt hate it.
Agreed. Iβve never heard 80s bands referred to as butt rock. It was always a post-post-grunge thing for Nickelback, Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Staind, and bands like them.
Defector! Tedium! Post Games! Whatever! The Reveal! The AV Club! The Dissolve!
