And while you're at it, contact your representatives about opposing KOSA and The SCREEN Act. This is a battle we need to fight on a legislative front too.
Age verification doesn't protect kids. Even in its most "ideal" implementation, it just serves to suppress speech and opens the door to future abuse of user data.
You protect kids by giving them the tools and resources to recognize and report abuse. Not by limiting the speech of everyone.
"Our age verification happens entirely on your device" isn't good enough. Because we still need to worry about WHO decides what content is or isn't deemed appropriate.
What happens to trans creators? To political commentary? To discussions of mental health? To other "controversial" spaces?
