I'm at the point in my life where every time I do any home maintenance or repairs, I get my son to watch me do it. Gotta pass along all the knowledge I gained from watching every episode of all 47 seasons of This Old House.

Dude talking to me at the merch table last night somehow got on the subject of Grandparents. He got emotional telling me how much he admired his Grandad, a WW2 hero who was awarded an Iron Cross for saving 48 soldiers from a sinking U-boat. It took me a few seconds before I said, "WAIT! WHAT?"
