Black History at Queen’s University Archives February is Black Histories and Futures Month, an opportunity for us to reflect on the experiences and acknowledge the accomplishments of our Black community members. It is important to note that teaching and learning about Black History, in addition to recognizing Black Communities, is not constrained to the month of February. This can be done throughout the year. Here are some resources available by Queen’s University Archives to learn more about Black History in the Kingston Region and at Queen’s University.

Queen’s Remembers Every year on November 11, Canadians pause in a silent moment of remembrance for the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. Remembrance Day honours those who fought for Canada in the First World War (1914-1918), the Second World War (1939-1945), and the Korean War (1950-1953), as well as those who have served since then.

This is how we remember. #LestWeForget #WeRemember #QueensRemembers #CanadaRemembers

A Weekend to Remember…Queen’s Homecoming 2025 Queen's fans at a football game . V28 Stud-74 Queen’s University Homecoming can strike both joy and fear into the hearts of Kingstonians, but the nearly 100-year-old celebration is still going strong. Queen's University Archives is pleased to present our 43rd Annual Archives Lecture. Dr. Donald Wright will be presenting "Arthur Lower and I: An Archive Story in Three Parts." Please join us on Oct. 20th. @queenslibrary @queensuniversity
