Considering Trump's diet, I'm not certain his kidney's are failing so much as attempting to extricate themselves from his body.

But yeah, wanting to slap his name on a bunch of stuff is a real big hint he is feeling anxious about moving on.

An unpleasant answer would be that a lot of white men saw Trump as one of their own, who would look after their interests, at the expense of everyone else's.

I've heard an argument for highly-focused attack ads. By the numbers though, a bunch of Blue state voters that had voted for Obama claimed they flipped to Trump for the stated reason that their incomes were down, and they believed Democratic policies favoured the rich. 🧐

Interesting; I was referring to her campaign's post mortem which noted they hadn't done much in several areas where she was down.

But - as you effectively note - she had decades of Republican hate and sexism to contend with as well.

She faced a lot of headwinds, that's a fact.

A little too much confidence and arrogance about where she campaigned, due to several factors, complicated her path as well.

And that's without even accepting that Putin possibly had a finger on the scale.

I used to talk with my Great Grandfather a lot about what it was like the first time he saw various things; first telephone, radio, automobile, etc. Some of his best stories were the ones his Father and Uncles had told him about 'The War' they'd fought in. The Civil War. Time moves in strange ways.
