I am by no means a textual critic but I t was fun to teach a class today in Rev textual history + some textual changes introduced by the ECM in Universidad de Navarra where I am now as a visiting researcher. It was very scary to do so in front of Juan Chapa, editor of p115.

Very happy that my short paper has been accepted for SNTS this summer in Regensburg. I’ll be taking about Andrew’s chapter system for Revelation and its canonical-textual implications. I’m honored to be the only other Latin American to be presenting.

As a PUC I found it difficult to navigate at first but then it became easier although I’m still getting the hang of it.

I have applied to more research fellowships that I can count. I have been rejected in all of them. Today I received the latest rejection and It hurt because I was kinda optimistic about it. Academia is a roller coaster. As Sinatra said “that’s life”
Really excited to share that my article has been accepted to JSNT. It took 3 rounds of revision and a year later to finally be accepted. It will appear online later this year. I want to thank @garrickvallen.bsky.social and @jeremiahcoogan.bsky.social because their work inspire me to pursue this.

Can anyone recommend me a paper/article on what the book of Revelation contributes to NT theology in general? Like it is often push aside to the margins and most often than not not considered seriously in NT theologies. So someone must have argued why is important theologically
