This is a good opportunity to see how good Carrick actually is as a manager, see how the team responds to a loss, I still think he might be the right choice but we will see in the next game against villa also I think the lack of game time for everyone means no match sharpness so we start games slow.
we took shaw off, not sure why could be tactics or injuries moved mazroui to his position then he got injured so malacia came on and it was from that side they scored, Newcastle deserved it, we still seem too cautious and slow going forward as usual but sure we’re still 3rd and could afford to lose
we looked like were probably going to the same as the last few games, start slow , barely hanging on and grow into the game later with the help of a sending off, annoying result but entertaining game though. Zirkzee nearly scored a great goal from out side the box which was saved then they scored. 🤷🏻♂️

Bloody fantastic but I hope they manage him well so he keeps growing into the role and not just start him every game, over two games where he doesn’t score and the pressure will be immense from the supporters and media
For me it’s about poor quality from Dalot , and when teams are sitting deep , he becomes our main outlet from defence and his vision, passing, deduction making and deliver render the right side practically useless against a low block , he’s a decent back up but definitely not a starter every game.
Bring Amad on for Dalot makes sense now , let’s win this
Hope Dalot suddenly starts playing like a better footballer second half or Amad replaces him
Why does all our play go through Dalot he and Bruno make so many mistakes , at least Bruno will eventually score an amazing goal or get an assist as he always does but Dalot being one of our main playmaker is stupid, Carrick could take him off and put Amad there but I doubt Carrick will.
Hope Carrick and his team can see the obvious faults in the game plan against a low block team, just put a big man or two in the box and keep crossing it in and we will win it’s not rocket science. For me Amad was so frustrating to watch today for the whole game just refusing to pass to a teammate wanting to take the man on and failing just like garnacho use to do, he was almost as annoying as Dalot tonight which is saying a lot .

Draw is not a bad result but Dalot was absolutely terrible and Amad made too many runs rather than obviously passing, shaw and Dalot had so much of the ball but couldn’t pick out anybody , it reminded me of amorim ball
Yeah seems like I tiny pitch with no space no atmosphere, I’m amazed he kept dalot and amad on for so long , we lost the one touch passing fast counter attack football of the past few games it’s weird
