The Government is using the ACT Party to normalise a ‘fire at will’ culture in New Zealand, and we have to resist it! Workers First Union is asking Aucklanders to take a stand and join us in a public protest outside Minister Brooke van Velden’s electorate office (35 Saint Johns Road, St Johns, Auckland) on Thursday 5 February at 11am. We need a strong turnout and lots of energy to show that our communities will not accept laws that take away our hard-fought rights while rewarding ‘gig economy’ employers like Uber who are taking advantage of our (already) weak employment laws.
