A magical moment on the trail yesterday: an unexpectedly close encounter with a great blue heron creekside. Usually we just see them as they fly away like at the end of this video but this one gave a few moment to take in its beauty first.

Pipevine update!!

A couple weeks ago I shared the little miracle of Pipevine flowers I had found, now look at how much they have grown!

This vine is the only thing that Pipevine Swallowtail butterflies will lay their eggs on as the season progresses.

Tiny tortie kitten in my lap.

Nothing sweeter than a kitten crawling into your lap. 🥰 My little Clover! 💙 I love her. She doesn't purr much but she seems very content. She really only purrs when she wakes up and sees her humans first thing! But then she's off and running after her favorite toys.
