I would like my refund rolled into my tax return, pretty please. I suppose it’s too much to ask for the money to go to the end customers who actually paid it, as opposed to the companies who just rolled it into higher prices… and will likely not lower them much even after all the dust settles.

Eating my feelings, angry and tired and sad all the time. I work in Minneapolis. It’s gonna hit 50 this weekend, so there’s that.

I love all these posters self owning that they don’t even know basic Spanish. Like, you have the internet, look up the lyrics and translate them. Being monolingual is not some sick brag to be proud of. (Sincerely, the rest of the bilingual and trilingual world)

I was reminded today of why I am a librarian and not an English teacher. We have totally different tastes in books. I don’t care how many awards and literary merits a book has. If it’s boring, it’s boring. And I will not recommend it to today’s kids! 🥱

I would wager the time and effort it requires to qualify for jeopardy renders a social life / social media / library friends outside of work to be a near impossibility 🤷‍♀️

The bottleneck is often on the public library side, not the school library side. It took me years to accomplish this in my former district because the public library didn’t have the infrastructure in place and the data export had to be done manually multiple times a year.
