Basically all sci fi with 'intervention policy' has this very colonial era mindset that the 'primitives' can't handle technology without social reform

I should definitely contribute more in this respect

Well I've finally finished university. I'm glad I can finally delegate my time to creative projects I care about and take control of my education. It's exciting but also overwhelming. I wish the times we live in were less uncertain so I can properly enjoy this lol

I really wanna get better at poetry but it keeps eluding me. I can write poetically but I can't rhyme without it feeling forced. How do I get better at this? Lol

Does anyone still even use fanfiction.net? I've gotten so many scam bot pms it's made me suspicious that all interest in my work is automated lol

I'm so glad that I'm only a few days a way from (hopefully) being done with classes until grad. Then I can do what I want, write, read books and work on my podcast. I might even work on my csm fanfic just to blow off steam

Something I think is worth saying is that you don't always need to know what your art means. Creating it is enough, other people are just as capable of interpreting it. The emotions that go into it are often more important than a driving message as an abstract creation

Constructive criticism for liberals: never let reactionaries(Republicans) set the boundaries of the conversation. If they give you a yes or no, blow through it. If they call people 'welfare queens', don't try to call them hypocrites, deny the existence of welfare queens. Stop fighting on their turf.

Man I'd love to work on something like this but my portfolio just isn't large enough yet to prove my competence even if I do think I could do it. Guess just gotta keep my nose to the grindstone after school and wait for more opportunities

Bought some books on Soviet history to help me make a political horror ttrpg set in the early Soviet union. I'm looking forward to getting to work on it!

Something that helps me is realizing that they're only fighting this hard because they're losing. They can't let people think, or speak, or see us because when they do they believe in our humanity. Their denial of reality is a bubble that will have to pop eventually.

I have no self control with books,i went in to buy a ufo culture book for fun reading and ended up grabbing some books i thought might be suppressed by the regime if worst came to worst,and another unrelated thing I wanted to read lol

I hope in the future we look back at the privacy crisis we're in the same way we look at prohibition. The government and other institutions vastly overreached in their control of our lives and behavior and after decades of bullshit we finally got sick of it and then can laugh about how crazy it was
