I am bored at the airport / am sick / have insomnia ama

studios keep burning bridges so bad the artists go broke trying to make stuff themselves just for the sake of making stuff

I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.

I was so touched by all the kind messages I received yesterday. It has given me a lot of encouragement for what will now be a big swing:

My next animated project will be the first episode of a gothic horror interpretation of the Nutcracker called "Clara and the Below."

I will also be using this project as a springboard for an independent animation studio called Fantasy Project. We are very small now but hopefully with your support we can grow to create more wonderful things.

Coming soon: Clara & the Below - episode 1 From "Amphibia" creator Matt Braly - an animated gothic horror spin on the Nutcracker full of wintery chills and somber vibes.

Matt Braly has shared never-before-seen development artwork from his canceled feature film at Sony Pictures Animation.

The project centered on a young boy who embarks on an emotional journey into a fantastical realm of Thai spirits, hoping to find a cure for his illness.

this movie would have been incredible. the amount of talent, heart, and soul the studios are scrapping left and right is just staggering

yeah it's awful man. i'm doin' everything i can to try and relieve it but even reducing the fever i feel like crumpled up tin foil about to explode in a microwave lol

the one benefit of having migraines all the time is i always have 'em in stock lol

if you do catch it and start to notice a fever coming up, start acetaminophen and ibuprofen for fever reduction. definitely stopped my fever from going over 100 taking every 6 hours

Got the flu and I feel like i got run over by a truck as slow as possible. Flu season is still in full swing, be careful out there 🤒

have not seen enough people fully processing the fact that in effect a quarter of the population of Minneapolis are out there looking out for their neighbors right now

If a non-citizen neighbor gets kidnapped by ICE, you supposedly have about 4-5 hours to file a habeas petition in Minnesota to prevent ICE from shipping people to Texas. They are moving people that quickly regardless of whether or not they have legal status.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

Good afternoon from downtown Chicago, where despite heavy snowfall, thousands have gathered for an anti-ICE/CBP demonstration in solidarity with the Twin Cities. More are still streaming in.

Lt. Illinois Gov. Juliana Stratton just addressed the crowd, and called for ICE to be abolished.

ICE funding has passed the house, but it still has to go through the senate, now is your chance to call!
